More traditional audio insurgency fare follows with the long-awaited new arrangement from FemaCampBandLeader, top quality electronica with an eastern flavour that sounds like the Yellow Magic Orchestra on steroids.
Modernicide follow that up with a dance-floor sizzler from their back-catalogue, it really is about time they produced something new for us. Mussolinidreams has heard the call for more and he’s back behind his sequencer for the vaporwave influenced ‘Border of the Night’ before it’s straight into the punk with RAC legends Legion of St George, who are putting our thoughts into music and demanding we stop the foreign aid and put our people first.
Contraband are representing Russian hardcore tonight with their kick-ass ‘Empire’ which ticks all the boxes, mental intro, super-fast chorus and mosh section before we get a real blast from the past with Gregorio Franco’s synth-metal cover version of original death metal renegades Celtic Frost’s ‘Into the Crypts of Rays’.
Jason Augustus breaks his silence next with a new one from 14 Sacred Words, all finger tapping harmonics, menacing piano and crazy drums with loads of effects, technically proficient and with the great production values we have come to expect from him.
Pureblood from Britain follow that up with a classic singalong leading in to Dead Kommunist’s cover version of Mistreat’s ‘Kick U in the Head’ which shows more than a nod to ‘Babylon’s Burning’ by The Ruts. Mistreat are celebrating 30 years of leading the RAC scene in Finland this year and this comes from a compilation album of covers to honour that.
Nordreich bring us the epic death metal tune of the week, hard to believe this is all written and played by just one musician, it’s all triumphant choruses and hyper-speed guitars nicely contrasting with the more sparse rebel rock of Russian band Sober Charge that follow.
True Aggression wind things down with an acoustic intro before taking off again for another melodic metal outing with some very nice slap bass licks and before you know it, it’s time for the last tune of the podcast and we end with some classic late night rock from Squadron.
