Sir Oswald Mosley was a patriot who fought in the first world war and because of this, he wanted to avoid a second one.
The BUF was led by patriotic aristocrats, but followed by the working classes, with so much public support they sold out the Olympia.
Once Churchill was installed as Prime Minister he not only deprived the British public of an election where they could have elected Mosley, but he went on to jail his political opposition and even called them traitors.
